In memory of Officer Walter M. Davis

On September 26th, 1956 at approximately 6:25pm, Patrolman Walter M. Davis, 33, of the Tinicum Township Police Department was on patrol in a police vehicle when he was involved in a car crash at 4th Avenue and Governor Prince Blvd.

Patrolman Davis just finished eating dinner at home and had just returned to duty when the accident happened. The scene is four blocks from his home.

Patrolman Davis was transported to Taylor Hospital by the Essington Fire Company Ambulance.

He is survived by his wife Dolores, son Walter M Jr., and his daughter Dolores.
